Welcome!

I’ve been blogging for almost ten years, but I’ve also been a chronic procrastinator for most of my life. That’s why you probably haven’t heard of me until now! Over the years, I’ve launched several blogs and small businesses, all of which had the potential to be a huge success, but none of them kept that flame going. I’ve been recovering from a life altering spinal injury since 2012. It was hard on me physically, emotionally, and financially. I told myself if I survived what almost killed me that not only would I live life to the fullest, but I’d make sure I made a positive impact on the lives of others. As a wife and mother, my life was all things family since 2005. Now that the kids are grown (just kidding, they’re still pretty young), I’ve been able to focus on me and what I want to do. This somehow still manages to come back to all things family. I’m okay with that now, at one point I felt like I was doing myself a disservice or losing myself. So what’s a mom to do? Try, fail, and try again! Along the way I’ve earned numerous certifications (yay me), now I think I’ll put them to use. I spent the last year analyzing data (I’m certified in that too) from all of my social media sites, blogs, pages, etc to see who was really listening to me. I went back to my old messages and posts and found out people really like to hear (read) what I had to say about marriage, parenting, cooking, totally screwing everything up, and loved my humorous sarcasm. So here we are: KeishaRene.com is a thing now. What or who is Keisha Rene? In a nutshell it’s a view into my life, but it’s also a journey of self discovery, self healing, and an overall feel good blog that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy each time you stop by. Okay, I’m lying. It’s me…just me. I cook, I bake, I love music, I have anxiety, I run and do yoga, but I’m over weight (and super sexy). I’m the Vice President of my kid’s PTSA, I’m an Ambassador for my city. I’m a social media marketing guru (seriously, people say that), and product reviewer. I’m full of awesome ideas and businesses. I’m that cool chick that people connect with online and want to hang out with offline, but you know stranger danger and all…so no thanks. Thanks for stopping by ~Keisha Rene
